By accessing or using ResumeAI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Each time you generate a resume or cover letter using the Service, you reaffirm your acceptance of these Terms and acknowledge that you are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all AI-generated content before submitting it to any employer or third party.

2. Description of Service

ResumeAI is an AI-powered resume optimization tool that helps users tailor their resumes to specific job descriptions. The Service uses artificial intelligence to rephrase and reframe existing resume content — it does not create qualifications or experience that users do not have.

3. User Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all content you submit and all resumes you generate using the Service.
• You must review all AI-generated content carefully before submitting it to any employer or third party.
• You agree not to use the Service to misrepresent your qualifications, fabricate experience, or deceive employers.
• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

ResumeAI uses artificial intelligence to generate resume content. While the Service is designed to rephrase your real experience accurately, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use. ResumeAI makes no guarantee that generated resumes will result in job interviews or employment.

5. Subscription and Payments

• Free plan users receive 6 resume generations per month at no charge.
• Paid plans (Pro and Super Pro) are billed monthly and include additional features.
• All prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are not provided for partial months of service.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all resume content you submit. By using the Service, you grant ResumeAI a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service. ResumeAI retains ownership of the platform, software, and AI models.

7. AI Awareness & User Responsibility

By using ResumeAI, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• ResumeAI uses artificial intelligence to assist in generating resume and cover letter content. As with any AI tool, the output may require corrections or adjustments.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all AI-generated content before submitting it to any employer, recruiter, or third party.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that your submitted resume accurately represents your qualifications, experience, and background.
• ResumeAI is an assistive tool — the final responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of your resume rests entirely with you.
• Any outcomes resulting from your use of the Service, including employment decisions, are your sole responsibility. ResumeAI does not guarantee any specific results.

8. Limitation of Liability & No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, reliance on AI-generated content, or any actions taken based on content generated by the Service. Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ResumeAI and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of inaccurate or misleading content to employers or third parties.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, including using the Service to generate fraudulent or misleading content.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
