- Account information: Name and email address collected via Google or GitHub OAuth login.
- Profile data: Contact information, work experience, and projects you voluntarily enter into your profile.
- Resume content: Base resume text and job descriptions you submit for generation.
- Generated content: AI-generated resumes and cover letters stored in your history.
- Application data: Job applications you track using the application tracker.
- Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
- Usage data: Number of generations used, subscription tier, and login activity.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Service.
- To generate tailored resumes and cover letters using AI.
- To manage your subscription and process payments.
- To enforce usage limits based on your plan.
- To improve the Service over time through anonymized, aggregated usage analytics only.
- We do not use your resume content, profile data, or job descriptions to train any AI models.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate ResumeAI:
- Supabase: Secure database storage for your profile and resume data.
- Anthropic (Claude AI): AI model used to generate resume and cover letter content. Your resume content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Per Anthropic's usage policy, API inputs are not used to train their models.
- Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google / GitHub: OAuth authentication. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
- RapidAPI / JSearch: Job search data for Super Pro users.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only shared with third-party services as described above, solely to provide the Service.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. You may request deletion of your account at any time from the Settings page or by contacting us directly.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage and secure HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
- You may access and update your profile data at any time from within the app.
- You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us directly.
- You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.
- California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal data we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal data.
